Custom Reflector Assemblies for use with Ceramic Heaters

Custom stainless steel reflectors can be designed to house the ceramic emitter to reflect the heat emitted back towards the product being heated.   Having a reflective purpose only, they are not designed, and especially not safe, to be the sole enclosure for a ceramic emitter. The ALEX is designed to enclose the stainless reflector as well as all the electrical connections. Operating emitters without this complete assembly enclosure, or similar protection, could result in fire, severe burns, or electrical shock.

Because the price can sometimes be less than the complete assembly, customers may be tempted to use them in place of the ALEX. This is generally unacceptable.  It is for this reason that we are not listing the Reflector as a separate, salable item. Reflectors are a manufactured as ordered, not available as a stock item. They can be custom designed as ordered for specific panel design or to be used in conjunction with a similar protective enclosure for a specific application design, or also for OEM applications. The stainless steel Reflector is also an excellent alternative for corrosive applications where the extruded aluminum ALEX would not be compatible.

All uses should be approved by the sales engineer in writing . Though we are not responsible for their use once sold, we have a strong responsibility to inform and warn the customer of the resulting danger in improper usage.
