Chromalox® 3/8" (9.53 mm) and 1/2" (12.7 mm) quartz tubes. These tubes produce medium wave infrared radiation with a peak wavelength of approximately 2.55 mm (microns) for a wide range of commercial and industrial heat applications. Install in QRT quartz radiant heaters, LN or LW oven sections or LC-4 reflectors. The coiled high temperature alloy resistor is supported by the quartz sheath which encloses it. White cotton gloves should be worn when handling quartz elements. Never touch elements with bare hands because oils and contaminants from the skin could be deposited upon the quartz sheath and would cause hot spots and possibly premature failure. Most quartz tubes are made to order. All tubes are for horizontal burning position only.

Applications

• Install in QRT quartz radiant heaters, LN or LW oven sections or LC-4 reflectors

• Produce intermediate infrared radiation with peak wavelength of approximately 2.55 microns for a wide range of commercial and industrial heat applications.

Construction

Coiled High Temperature Alloy Resistor is supported by the quartz sheath which encloses it.
