Fostoria Heavy Duty Infrared Heaters are for use in factories, warehouses, maintenance areas, machine shops and any application that exposes the fixture to shock and vibration. Fostoria's u-shaped metal sheath elements are stable and more shock resistant than quartz lamps or tubes. They have a 5,000 hour average rated life. Fostoria's HDO Electric Infrared Heaters produce high-density infrared heat for Indoor Spot/Zone Comfort Heating or Total Area Heating, adding flexibility to the design of your heating system. Electric infrared heaters project heat only where it is needed, heating people and objects, not the air. Fostoria's U-shaped, metal heating elements are made to withstand the high vibration and mechanical abuse you will find in an industrial facility. They have a 5000 hour average rated life.

All models are constructed with hi-temp, gasketed terminal boxes, gold anodized .040 aluminum housing and .32 BOS aluminum reflectors with 60 degree symmetrical heat distribution patterns.

Any surface or object should be at least 72", (87" for CH-27 Models), from direct heat projecting from the unit. For surface mounting, UL requires fixtures to be 24 inches from the ceiling, 36 inches from a vertical surface and separated by a minimum of 36 inches.
