Fostoria FFH Series are ready to install, just hang by its
chains and plug into any 120 volt service. Both units feature: an eight foot 18/3 grounded cord set, two 4
feet suspension chains, the appropriate quartz tube elements, a protective guard
and gold anodized aluminum reflectors. FFH heaters are excellent for farrowing applications. The
reflector gives a uniform heating pattern over a 4'x4' floor area-plenty of room
for two large litters to sleep in comfort. No need to "pile" to get
warmth as can happen with a heat bulb.
Mounting: Heaters must be a minimum 3" from ceiling, 24" from a vertical surface
and a minimum 6 feet from the floor. FFH-512A: weight 4 lbs., 13" chain hanging
centers. FFH-912B: weight 4 lbs., 11-3/4 chain hanging centers.
Operation: Heater should be plugged into a duplex grounded receptacle. Ensure that the
current does not exceed the rating of the circuit.
Heat Control (FFH-912B model only) Intensity of the work area heat level is controlled by wattage directed on the
work area. Wattage levels in the working area can be increased or decreased
using the ON and OFF toggle switches.
