Calorique Radiant Ceiling Heaters

We are an authorized distributor for
Calorique, Ltd.

A heating system with no moving parts, takes up no space, and doesn't produce drafts. Is it a miracle? No, it's Calorique's radiant ceiling heating system.  Experts and homeowners agree that the evenly distributed warmth that radiant heating delivers to the entire room and the people within it is the most comfortable form of heating. Radiant heating doesn't intrude in your living space, it delivers comfort - silently and efficiently.

Conventional Heating System

Radiant heat gently warms all parts of the room leaving no hot spots or drafts. Because radiant heat does not depend on moving large volumes of air, dust and contaminants in the air and room are reduced. Our radiant heating system gives you the flexibility to place furniture anywhere in the room. No need to restrict your room layout because of vents or baseboards.

Calorique Radiant Ceiling Heating

Calorique's radiant ceiling heating system is extremely energy efficient. Homeowners have found that radiant heating systems are as much as 20% more efficient to operate than electric baseboard units because all of the heating energy is directed to the living space, not heating air along the walls.

Installed Warming Elements

Attached to the underside of the ceiling joists, immediately behind the finish panels, this system provides uniform warmth from the evenly heated ceiling surface. Just like the warmth from the sun, radiant ceiling heat warms all of the objects in the room.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much power does the system use?
12" on center: 13 watts per panel (roughly 12.5" long)
16" on center: 20 watts per panel
24" on center: 30 watts per panel
How much does it cost to operate?
Less than baseboard electric. Comparable to gas and oil.
What kind of ceiling can I use?
Sheetrock (aka gypsum board) up to 5/8"
Sheetrock with plaster up to a total of 5/8"
Solid wood up to 3/8"
Plywood up to 1/4"
Do I have to leave access above the elements?
  No.
Do I have to wire both ends of the elements?
  No.
Why would I want to wire from both ends?
This protects the operation of the elements. If, for example, a bus bar were severed during renovation work*, the entire element would continue to operate.**
* Always turn off power to the elements when doing renovation work to the ceiling or the floor above it.
** If a bus bar is severed, make sure that the severed ends are properly insulated before restoring power to the system.
How many amps does the system use?
At 240 volts, 1000 watts uses 4.2 amps

• All panels are 12 5/8” long, all rolls are on 3” cores, nominal heating panel thickness is 19mils
